triggers

hi mike
salesforce support is so slow
you've helped me before and now i'm in a time crunch

i have a field in my contact table called org_code
whenever someone changes an organization (account) field in salesforce
i want the org_code to be updated accordingly

i think i want to write a trigger
but I have no new button when i got to Customize|Contacts|Trigger
is it that apex is not enabled? how do i do that?

any ideas how i can make this happen?

thanks so much
tammy

Are you using PHP at all? Let me know

Or are you wanting to do it via a trigger

Tammy -

I was thinking more about this and wanted to let you know that you could do this via a new item that I have been working on, but you have to be using PHP to do the work that you want

It would not take that long to implement via PHP, look at this thread

We currently have two process that work perfectly to update another object/custom object in salesforce when an event is changed.

In one of the process, it is on a custom object and when a custom field is changed from one status to another, it changes the owner on the account

I know that you could get this done and again, would not be hard
