Sometimes Sports Takes the Back Seat to Life

This is something that I struggle with from time to time and it sucks. People get so busy in their lives that they cannot even find time to follow their favorite sport, team, or player. Is this just because our lives are so busy these days that we just cannot make time?
I see it as work related, kids, family, and other daily activities that basically make sports take the back seat to daily tasks. Honestly it sucks and we go about our daily lives thinking about these things. One thing that I can contribute this too is having a family, and for that, I am not sorry. I am sorry that I cannot name the players of my favorite teams or mouth off statistics like I used too.
I see that single guys can do this and that is when I was at my best at keeping up. I used to be able to tell you each players name, position, and years in. Their best game as a pro or worst, it did not matter. One good thing is that I still remember the statistics from the "old days" but ask me to tell you what they did last season or the season prior to that and I am without words. Thank god I have the Internet to look these up, to be able to stay up to date with rants and conversations.
My family and job have made me re-prioritize my thoughts and daily activities, what is more important and what needs to take a back seat. It is these changes that drive my life right now and probably will continue down this path until I make changes
I am in crappy shape and am working to better myself both physically and mentally; I owe that to my own self perseverance and well being. I do however need to make more time for my friends both here at home and on the Internet. I have abandoned my friends on my personal website, Sportsrant.com, and that is something that I take personally. For that I am sorry, it really makes me sad and that is honest.
I am who I am and I have to go in the right direction, but make side steps to keep up with everything else sports related in my life, my friends, and my favorite teams
