Is there a way to set a date for CaseComment.CreatedDate rather than System date?

    Hi All,

I just want to ask if its possible to be able to set a date for CreatedDate or is there a field in CaseComments that I can do this. I saw in the API that this was system generated. I tried setting it yet I get an error that this field is not update able.
My point of setting my own dates for the CaseComment is because I have a tool/separated process that syncs the data from our CRM to Salesforce (for another client) I made the approach like this since create/update takes time when doing it in Realtime and I dont want it to impact the CRM in our production server.

    Hoping for some answers.

Ohh, I think i already found the solution. Ill just have the client create a customized fields for the date. However is it possible to show that customized fields in in salesforce other than the default fields in the CaseComments area?

You should be able to remove anything on a layout of an object! Check that out
