APEX Development Resources
I thought I'd start a collection of APEX resources... the scripting language is pretty self-explanatory once you get it. Getting it is the hard part however and I know as Mike and I are starting the journey, it's difficult to grasp Salesforce's APEX language.
A brief crash course (includes syntax and some examples)
Reference Guide
Cheat sheet (probably one of the more useful resources)
That should get you (and by you I mean me) started down the APEX path. Please share as you find any more nuggets!

I found the single most useful item to be the Eclipse version of the help file, in particular the Quick Start chapter followed by the Quoting app in the appendix and the Language Constructs sections once you've got the hang of it.
The content assist features in Eclipse run a close second though- with them turned on, by the time I've paused to think about what the function's called, Eclipse has helpfully suggested them.
When it comes to the UI, I know it's Visualforce not Apex, but the usage tab in the "Component Reference" has demystified many things for me- the link appears in developer mode when you're writing pages.
Cheers,
Nick
