What is the saying? Mad moms in mini vans! That is a statement made by some twenty- something male that probably had a bad encounter with some mom who was on their way to soccer practice.
These days moms just don't drive mini vans, they drive big honking SUV's. One thing that drives me crazy is the window decals all over the back window with their children's accomplishments. Whether it is Pop Warner football, taekwondo, soccer, Upwards basketball, or cheerleading,
I know that you have seen these window decals. They show the child's name, their number, team name and all other personal information. I can drive down the road, sit behind a SUV during rush hour with pen in hand and gather all the personal information I need to about that entire family. I have their license plate. I have the make of their car. I have their children's names, their teams, their numbers; for Christ sake!!
If I was a Petafile or some deranged person, I could wreak havoc on these poor kids. There is no way that I would allow my wife to even purchase these items from our kids out of school functions. I do not allow it. My oldest son has been on the honor role for the past two years and has been on it all year. The people who are special in his life know this, but I do not make it public. I do not want some weird, old, deranged person to obtain this information by following my wife around after school.
For the past 2 years I have successfully conveyed this to friends of ours who had these decals on their cars. All of them have removed them. Just this past week a local news channel here in Dallas-Fort Worth ran a story on how this could bring harm to your family and most of all, your children. Well Go Figure!!
It is wonderful if your children are involved in some sort of sport, dancing, or whatever it may be. Just do yourself a favor and take the window decals off of your car. If you go out into your driveway and look at your rear SUV window, you will see what I mean
Make your family safer and remove the window decals that have your children's information plastered all over it!
