Chatter is an enterprise communication tool that is laid directly over the Salesforce.com application. The functionality allows users to "follow" various records and as they are updated, the application will then send updates to the users' chatter feed.

Content is Salesforce.com's answer to document management. Users can also bundle documents together into delivery packages to electronically deliver to customers in a secure and track-able manner.
