Election 2008 - Tuesday, November 4, 2008
Tomorrow is a defining day for Americans. We are looking for change and Obama is the choice that I have made. I have always backed the GOP, republican party, but that changed after watching George W. Bush destroying this country politically and financially.
As I watch CNN and MSNBC and they keep these national polls up to date showing Obama with a lead that almost guarantees a victory. I do not believe these polls what so ever. I can only pray and keep my fingers crossed and hope that people across this country will elect Barack Obama the next president of the United States.
I am so, so afraid that McCain could squeak in and then that would put Sarah Palin in position to be the next president of the United States. I only hope that I can come back to this post tomorrow and report that Obama won in a landslide. It would feel so good to go back to Dallas on Wednesday, I am currently traveling on business, and know that all those conservative people living near me who voted republican are just fuming at the fact that an African-American is going to be the next president of the United States.
See with me it is not about being a democrat or a republican, it's about the person and their stand on the different issues. If I thought that McCain's policies were better then I would be voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin. I just think that he will continue the same policies as President Bush, and we all know where that has led us.
Towards the second half of my military career the president of the United States was Bill Clinton and in my opinion he ruined the military with his policies. I did not and still do not to this day like the way that Clinton ran this country when it comes to the military and he was dishonest with the American People. No matter how trivial it is to many Americans, he lied under oath as President and that was the wrong thing to do.
So I am not a liberal, I am not a conservative, I am a believer in the person. This time I believe, and firmly, that Barack Obama is the right choice for the future of this country.
So get out and vote tomorrow, please... Let's not make the same mistake we did in 2000 and 2004.

This was not the election of 2000 that left this country in turmoil, this was, to put in simply, an ass whooping. It was a long campaign and I am glad that it is over. I am glad that Obama was elected! This was a historic election and the American people have spoken.
I honor John McCain for his service to his country, it is second to none. He bowed out honorably and is a great man.
To all that voted for Barack Obama thank you very much. This is a great and historic moment in our nation's history. An African-American is our next president of the United States.
