Everyone now knows that Donald Rumsfeld “stepped down” after the mid-term elections on November 7, 2006. The “official” statement was that he resigned. This simply is not true; everyone knows that President Bush forced him to after huge losses on the part of the GOP

Generals, Other key Republican Party officials and Democrats alike have been asking for the resignation of the former Secretary of Defense. Some are labeling him as a scapegoat for the failures in Iraq. Is he really a scapegoat for Bush’s failures?

Who is really calling the shots in Iraq? Is it the Generals? I am asking this question because honestly I have no idea, would I like to know? The answer to that is yes, but we will never know. Some say it is Dick Cheney, some say he is the “real president”. Rumsfeld may have well been the scapegoat but some of his actions have led to the deaths of American Soldiers, something that I cannot stand.

When parents of some of the soldiers started sending over extra parts of steel for armor reinforcement and Rumsfeld stated that the soldiers were well equipped enough to get the job done, which is when I really started to doubt this man’s integrity. Soldier’s were telling the American people that they needed more equipment, needed more armor protection against the IED (improvised explosive devices) and fast. Rumsfeld stood fast on his beliefs that the soldiers were good to go, they had all they needed. Tell that to the parents of all the killed due to IED’s.

While I am glad to see Donald Rumsfeld out as Secretary of Defense, I am not to sure what his successor will prove. Will he just do what he is told by his boss, our Commander in Chief, President George Bush (I really mean Dick Cheney)

Donald Rumsfeld is an idiot, an Amazing Idiot!
